Catheter-associated thrombosis is a frequent cause of tunneled catheter dysfunction, and evidence for prophylactic anticoagulation with direct oral anticoagulants is limited. This study evaluated the efficacy and safety of apixaban and rivaroxaban in preventing catheter-associated thrombosis and improving catheter survival.
